Basic Rules for Students:
Sponsor. The InspiringExperts Video Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Randstad Professionals US, LP, a Delaware limited partnership with offices at 60 Harvard Mill Square, Wakefield MA 01880 (“Randstad”).
Binding Agreement. In order to enter the Contest, you must agree to the rules listed on this page ("Rules"). Because these Rules form a legally binding agreement with respect to this Contest, please read them carefully. If you do not agree to the Rules, you are not eligible to participate in the Contest or to win any of the prizes. You agree that registration for this Contest and/or a submission of an entry in the Contest constitutes your agreement to these Rules.
Eligibility. The Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states, and the District of Columbia. You must be 18 or older by October 1, 2011 to submit a video. Internal employees of Randstad and its affiliates, as well as their immediate families, are allowed to submit entries but are not eligible to win any Contest prizes. The term “internal employees” does not include the professionals and other workers we place on temporary assignments with our clients, regardless of whether they are technically employees of Randstad or its affiliates. In addition, employees of any third party agencies assisting Randstad in any way with respect to the Contest, or other persons professionally connected in any way to the Contest, are not eligible to win any Contest prizes.
Contest Period. The Contest begins at 12:01 am on October 1, 2011.
Entries must be made on or before 11:59:59 pm on December 15, 2011.
All votes must be received before 11:59:59 pm on January 1, 2012
Entries. You may submit a video in the Contest as many times as you wish; however, each entry must be different and be submitted separately and be in accordance with the terms and conditions stated herein. By entering, you acknowledge that Randstad has no obligation to use or post any entry you submit.
Entry Format and Size. Entries must be submitted to InspiringExperts.com in one of the following format(s) only: .avi, .mpeg, .wmv, or .mov. Suggested video length is 60 – 120 seconds. Videos in excess of 180 seconds or 3 GB will not be eligible for prizes.
Video Content. Entries may not include any: (a) copyrighted works without permission of the copyright owner, (b) false or defamatory statements about any person or any third party; © third party trademarks that suggest affiliation with any trademark owner without permission of such owner or that dilute the value of any trademark; (d) profanity, nudity, depictions of violence, threatening language, inappropriate, indecent, harmful, discriminatory, or obscene content as determined by Randstad, in its sole and absolute discretion; or (e) depiction of an act which is dangerous or suggests any person to undertake a dangerous activity. All Entries must be in keeping with Randstad’s image, as determined by Randstad in its sole and absolute discretion. Randstad shall have the right, but no obligation, to review the Entries for compliance with these entry requirements. At the judges' discretion, entries including unsuitable content or that are in, or alleged to be in, violation of third party rights (including, but not limited to, copyrights) will be disqualified. Randstad and Administrators retain sole discretion as to what constitutes unsuitable content and will not be liable in any way for disqualified entries. ENTRIES POSTED TO THE WEBSITE WERE NOT EDITED BY RANDSTAD AND ARE THE VIEWS/OPINIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL SUBMITTER AND DO NOT REFLECT THE VIEWS OF RANDSTAD IN ANY MANNER. By submitting an Entry, you agree that your disclosure is gratuitous, unsolicited and without restriction, and will not place Randstad under any obligation, that Randstad and others are free to disclose the ideas contained therein on a non-confidential basis to anyone or otherwise use the ideas without any additional compensation to you. You acknowledge that, by acceptance of your submission, Randstad does not waive any rights to use similar or related ideas previously known to Randstad, or developed by its employees, or obtained from sources other than you.
Selection of Winners. Your odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received. In the event that two or more entries receive the same number of votes, a panel of Randstad appointed employees will cast tie-breaking votes and select the winner. Decisions of the judges are final and binding. In the event there are not enough eligible entries, not all prizes will be awarded. If a winner is not able for whatever reason to accept his or her prize, then Randstad reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.
Prizes. Each iPad 2 awarded in the Contest will be a 32GB WiFi model with an approximate retail value of $599. iPad is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. There is no cash alternative and the prizes must be taken as offered. Randstad reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of an equivalent value should the Contest prizes become unavailable for any reason. A charity specified by a winner of the Professionals Grand Prize or a Professionals Runner-up Prize must be a recognized 501©(3) organization that (1) is created and operated for charitable purposes, (2) employs all its resources to those charitable activities that are under its direct control, (3) does not distribute any part of the income generated for the benefit of any trustee, trustor, member, or other private individual, and (4) does not contribute to or associates with political organizations. Randstad reserves the right in its sole discretion to accept or reject any charity proposed by a prize winner. All scholarship prizes awarded in the Contest shall be made as payment to an accredited college or university in the U.S. in which the prize winner is enrolled for the 2012-2013 academic year, for use towards the prize winner’s tuition, fees, room and board.
Voting. You may not set up an automated script, program or “robot” to vote multiple times for an entry.
Media Activity. By participating in this Contest, you agree and hereby grant Randstad permission to use, copy, modify, distribute, and publicly display your Contest submissions for any purpose, such as, but not limited to, press and media communications, without any compensation or attribution to you. You also agree to participate in any media or promotional activity regarding the Contest. If you are a prize winner, you agree that Randstad may use your name and likeness to administer and promote the Contest and to conduct media interviews and promotional events.
Privacy Notice. By participating in this Contest, you agree that Randstad can collect your personal information, and that if Randstad cannot collect the required data, you may not be eligible to participate in the Contest. Any personal information collected during the course of the Contest by Randstad will only be used for administering this Contest and for other purposes as outlined in these Rules. You will have the right to access, review, rectify or cancel any personal data held by Randstad by writing to Randstad (Attention: Privacy Matters) at the Randstad address listed above.
General Conditions. This Contest is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Contest is void where prohibited. By participating in this Contest, you agree to be bound by the terms of these Rules and by Randstad’s decisions, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Return of any prize/prize notification may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Any potential winner who cannot be contacted within five (5) business days of attempted first notification will forfeit his or her prize. Potential prize winners will be required to sign, notarize, and return an affidavit or declaration of eligibility, a liability/publicity release, an I.R.S. Form W-9, within five (5) business days and provide any additional information that may be required by Randstad. Failure to comply within this time period may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. Prize winners are responsible for any taxes in connection with such prizes. Randstad is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Contest or in the announcement of the prizes. Each entrant agrees not to participate in the Contest in any manner that might violate applicable law in any countries in the world.
No Recourse to Judicial or Other Procedures. To the extent permitted by law, the rights to litigate, to seek injunctive relief, or to any other recourse to judicial or any other procedure in case of disputes or claims resulting from or in connection with this Contest are hereby excluded, and you expressly waive any and all such rights. By entering you agree, and by accepting a prize you agree, that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, participant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Randstad in connection with the Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU INDEMNIFY AND AGREE TO KEEP INDEMNIFIED RANDSTAD AT ALL TIMES FROM AND AGAINST ANY LIABILITY, ACTIONS, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES FOR OR IN RESPECT OF WHICH RANDSTAD WILL OR MAY BECOME LIABLE BY REASON OF OR RELATED OR INCIDENTAL TO ANY ACT, DEFAULT OR OMISSION BY YOU UNDER THESE RULES INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION RESULTING FROM OR IN RELATION TO ANY BREACH, NON-OBSERVANCE, ACT OR OMISSION WHETHER NEGLIGENT OR OTHERWISE, PURSUANT TO THESE RULES BY YOU. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AGREE TO HOLD RANDSTAD AND ITS AFFILIATES, AS WELL AS THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND ASSIGNS HARMLESS FOR ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE CAUSED OR CLAIMED TO BE CAUSED BY PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AND/OR USE OR ACCEPTANCE OF ANY PRIZE WON. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY PARTICIPANT IN THE CONTEST BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS FOR, AND YOU HEREBY WAIVE ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN FOR ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS. Intellectual Property. By registering for the Contest and/or submitting an entry you agree explicitly that all components of your video and related materials are indeed original creations. Any intellectual property infringement, misuse or plagiarism of another’s work in any form or state will result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of eligibility to receive all awards, recognition and prizes. You also agree to allow Randstad to make public statements regarding any disqualifications and any grounds for disqualification. All intellectual property and industrial property rights in any entries that belonged to the Entrants will remain with the Entrants, but the submissions will otherwise become the property of Randstad, and will not be returned after the Contest. You grant Randstad permission to use, copy, modify, distribute, and publicly display your Contest submission for any purpose, including display on the Randstad website, without any attribution or compensation to you.
Internet. Randstad is not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission. Randstad is not responsible for theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Contest materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind. Randstad is not responsible for inaccurate transmissions of or failure to display Contest materials on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Randstad reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
Severability. If any provision(s) of these Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
Winner List. The names of the winners will be posted on the Contest website InspiringExperts.com within two (2) weeks after the end of the Contest.
Additional Terms and Disclaimers. Randstad reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Website or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. Randstad reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Contest, in its entirety, if the Contest cannot be operated as planned or should virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond Randstad's control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest. Randstad is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest by any technical or human errors, which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Contest. Randstad is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in the printing or posting of the offer or Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Randstad will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. - To enter as a student, you must be currently enrolled at a high school or an accredited college or university in the United States, in addition to meeting the age requirements stated herein.
- Record and Submit: Submit a video telling high school students why you’re excited about your college major and your career prospects. Let us know how you plan to make an impact on the world and then get the word out!
- Vote: Get your friends, family, teachers or anyone else to vote for your video
- $10,000 scholarship: The top student vote getter will receive a $10,000.00 scholarship and an iPad® 2 (the “Student Grand Prize”). Only one Student Grand Prize will be awarded.
- $2,000 Scholarships: The 2nd – 5th ranked student vote getters will each receive a $2,000 scholarship and an iPad 2 (each, a “Student Runner-up Prize”). Only four Student Runner-up Prizes will be awarded.

All intellectual property and industrial property rights in any entries that belonged to the Entrants will remain with the Entrants, but the submissions will otherwise become the property of Randstad, and will not be returned after the Contest. You grant Randstad permission to use, copy, modify, distribute, and publicly display your Contest submission for any purpose, including display on the Randstad website, without any attribution or compensation to you.
Internet. Randstad is not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission. Randstad is not responsible for theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Contest materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind. Randstad is not responsible for inaccurate transmissions of or failure to display Contest materials on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Randstad reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
Severability. If any provision(s) of these Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
Winner List. The names of the winners will be posted on the Contest website InspiringExperts.com within two (2) weeks after the end of the Contest.
Additional Terms and Disclaimers. Randstad reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Website or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. Randstad reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this Contest, in its entirety, if the Contest cannot be operated as planned or should virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond Randstad's control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest. Randstad is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest by any technical or human errors, which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Contest. Randstad is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in the printing or posting of the offer or Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Randstad will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. RANDSTAD DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE CONTEST. RANDSTAD DOES NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF ANY OF THE PRIZES. EACH SUBMITTER AGREES TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENT CONTAINING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
